REMEONER – So tell the people your name and where you’re from:
VINCCI -  My name is VINCCI, I’m a upcoming hip-hop artist from New Jersey.

REMEONER – Are you a artist/producer/writer or a hybrid of all 3, (that’s seems to be what’s hot these days…)
VINCCI – I’m a Artist and Writer, however I am very hands on with the direction of the production as it pertains to my project.

REMEONER – When did you first get involved in music?
VINCCI -  Around 2003.  I’ve had an attraction to music since I was 9 years old. My mother used to play a lot of R &B like Luther, Marvin Gaye, the O’Jays you know, that soulful, relatable music.  As a kid coming up in the projects, I got to see and experience a lot of different emotions.  Those same emotions were illustrated through music, which made music relatable me.  It became an outlet to express rather than avenue to act out.

REMEONER – How have you grown within your craft since you first started?
VINCCI – When I first started recording I didn’t understand song format. I was in a group (Black Miles) we just rapped about our friends and our own personal experiences so it was only relatable to our circle of people. Now I understand the elements required to make a song. I also know as an artist, my music must be for the consumer.  My manager always said, “You can’t go platinum pleasing yourself and your clique of friends”.  So unless my boys are going to purchase a million CD’s, that route is useless.  The fans determine your longevity.  Knowing this, my blueprint screams “supply and demand”.  I vow to supply the consumer with new and creative material while they continue to demand good music.

REMEONER – Where can the people hear some of your earlier work?

We figured we’d peak the curiosity of the people first, so we started with a trailer.  Once we received the response we were looking for, we decided to create the full video version.
REMEONER – Who are some of your influences and how have you applied that inspiration to your product?
VINCCI -  Since there is so many Greats on that list. I’ve opted out from choosing.  On the other hand, I guess you can say I’m mostly influenced by Life around me.   Again, good music is relatable.   It doesn’t matter what walk of life you come from, everyone can relate to what’s real. Therefore I just try to be creative with my presentation and delivery so that my music can cross all Geographics.

REMEONER – What is your take on the current scene within your genre right now, who do u think is hot?
VINCCI – I believe the charts determine whose hot.  I haven’t casted my vote lately, mainly because I am focused on my own craft.  I don’t want to be an Artist that follows the trend.  My goal as an Artist is to be a trendsetter.

REMEONER  – How would you describe your sound?
VINCCI -  Hip Hop with an R&B party flair.  Hip Hop is my 1st love and the R&B party sound is that secondary love that I can’t let go.  So with that being said, I decided to blend them instead of choosing.

REMEONER – Do u play any instruments?

VINCCI -  The mind is an instrument. In fact it’s the only instrument that you have control over.  So, yes.

REMEONER – Have u written/produced/collaborated with any other artist?
VINCCI -  I’ve collaborated with a few local favorites. K. Beverly and K.K. Halloway were involved with my latest project. On the Production side I’ve worked with Perion Hunter aka Lumberjack, Raheem Davis, Ramsis  Ali, and Qomplex.  I’m just glad I’ve have been blessed to work with the talent that I have been.

REMEONER – any advice for other aspiring artists.
VINCCI -  Always have “Tunnel Vision” as it pertains to your direction.  Stay inspired and remember creativity is the key element in this equation for music.

REMEONER – Cool, if you could work with any artist right now, who would it be?
VINCCI – I have a long list, from artist that posses the spot light to some that haven’t made their mark just yet.  As long as that collective spark is there, I’m open.

REMEONER – So the reason we’re here is because of your new hit single/video, tell us about the track (i.e. Who wrote, produced, directed the video, concept of song and video treatment)
VINCCI – We don’t know if it’s a hit yet, the fans can only make that decision. The single is entitled “Wanna Know You” produced by Lumberjack.  The video was directed by Li Milan. My lovely  co-star is model Joey Star.
The concept is pretty simple.  I have a love for someone or something and I’m trying to get to know it better.  The chorus speaks for itself, “Baby can I get a few minutes of you time, so I can see what’s on your mind?  I really want to know you a little better…” The video has a twist so that the Viewer can determine the concept for themselves.
